HISTORY


 
The Lego group began manufacturing the interlocking toy bricks in 1949, a privately held company based in Billund, Denmark .Since then a global Lego subculture has been developed. Supporting movies, games, competitions and six Legoland amusement parks have been developed under the brand. As of July 2015 600 billion parts have been produced.

In February 2015, Lego replaced Ferrari as Brand Finaces "world's most powerful brand".


 
SINCE THEN..


 
Since the 1950s, the Lego Group has released thousands of sets with a variety of different themes, including space, robots, pirates, trains, vikings, castles, dinosaurs, undersea exploration and wild west. Some of the class themes that continue to present day include Lego City which was introduced in 1973 as a line of sets depicting city life and Lego Technic which was aimed at emulating complex machinery in 1977.

Throughout the years Lego have licensed themes from cartoons such as:

  • Batman
  • Indiana Jones
  • Harry Potter
  • Minecraft
  •  Pirates of the Caribbean
